From past few days people all over the country were witness to the arrogant behaviour of Government and Congress party. The autocratic ways to defame Team Anna was for everybody to watch and analyse. The statements from congress veterans Kapil Sibbal, Manish Tiwary etc were audacious.
And the day started with biggest blunder ever by government, they arrested the man who has caught the imagination of country, the symbol of crusader for justice. And the most ironical thing was to send him to Tihar jail, the same place where Rajas and Kalmadis of this world are spending their peaceful time. Things can’t be more wrong, more ironical.
Like most of the people in country, I too decided to show my solidarity with the movement. Just called few friends to join for protests outside Tihar Jail, everybody was more than wiling to come. And the scenes there were euphoric. Thousands of people were there, people of all religions, people of all sections of society; they all were INDIANS angry with the corrupt system of the country. The Sibbals and Tiwaris of arrogant world they live in were hooted badly. We all were very very angry and it showed in our protests.
As per the latest information, Government has bowed down and reversed the arrest orders. However Anna says that he won’t leave until given the permission to fast.
Let’s hope that the good sense prevails and government agrees to come back on negotiating table on Janlokpal Bill. They now need to show the country that they are serious to remove corruption from country. They need to show the people that they are sensitive towards people’s concerns. The ball is in their court now.
This spin of "consenting between two adults" is typical legal and intellectual bullsh1t. Their consent cannot come at the cost of corrupting the process of appointing MY judges whose salaries I pay. At the very least, there needs to be an investigation and the media needs to demand an investigation. Second, Singhvi's morality is important to me as a citizen. He is a public official and represents me in Parliament. If he had sex in the SC premises, then his conduct cannot be deemed as a "private affair". SC is a public place! Face it media - the AMS affair has blown the cover off your loyalties. Before this incident, there was an element of doubt which you could have exploited in your favor. After the media response to the AMS tapes, I am left in doubt as to where your loyalties lie.
